As part of the University of Tampa Press’ ongoing interview series with past winners of the Tampa Review prize, I interviewed the poet Katherine Gaffney. She won the most recent Tampa Review Prize in 2022 for her debut poetry collection, Fool in a Blue House. The UT Press will publish her collection later in 2023. The Tampa Review judges described Fool in a Blue House “as much a collection of poems as it is a process of intimate discovery—intimacy in relation to love in all its facets and subsequent relationships.
