Continuing in the UT Press’ series of interviewing past winners of the Tampa Review prize, I interviewed the poet Michael Lavers. Lavers won the 2018 prize for his debut poetry collection, After Earth. This spring, the UT Press will be publishing his second collection, The Inextinguishable. Both collections are dripping with gorgeous prose, a grief for the world we’ve lost and the faith in the things that will last forever. These poems deeply reflective and dwell on the beauty of the world around us, even with all its flaws. You can read my interview with Michael Lavers at the link below.
